April 2nd Thursday, 8:00 pm: The Ironworks Session (Lorna McGhee - Flute, Vancouver)
Pianist Jane Coop has a great idea – invite two brilliant musician friends, plan a series full of gorgeous and unusual repertoire, invite videographers to contribute to each evening, and present the concerts in an intimate and relaxed cabaret setting. Flautist Lorna McGhee and violinist Dale Barltrop readily agreed and repertoire ranging from Dohnanyi, Martinü, Messaien and Debussy to Robert Pritchard and Joe Chindamo. Relaxed, brilliant, and bold, each concert begins with the music of JS Bach, and includes one work with accompanying video interpretation. Come and experience The Ironworks Sessions.
